Now that the exams are nearly over the second half of the Summer term sees the Performance Centre back to normal training sessions. For some it has been a long break. Others might have spent the summer half term revising for those exams.

Unipart and FZ Forza have teamed together again this year, to sponsor another local School Badminton Tournament here in Birmingham. W.M.P.C. (West Midlands Performance Centre) are hosting the School Badminton Tournament for the second year. The event is for school children who like playing badminton. Who have little experience apart from at school and in the back garden. It is an opportunity for children to taste competitive badminton and possibly open the doors to junior county badminton. The event will be attended by coaches from local counties and performance centre to identify potential talented players.
The winners of each age group will qualify for the NATIONAL school badminton tournament Finals to be held in June 2013.

We have had the Thumbs up for the PC’s sessions tonight.Both the school and Lorraine Cole gave tonight”s sessions the ‘Thumbs up’. The school is open and the coaches will be there. Can all parents confirm their attendance by text to Lorraine on 07966 142196 or Stephanie on 07976 814036.

Tuesday night sessions – possible closure due to SNOWBoth tomorrow nights sessions (developing 17.30 till 19.30 and emerging 19.30 till 21.30), may be affected by the weather if we have more SNOW. Check out the website just in case the sessions are cancelled. Details will be posted on the site on the ‘News and Update’ page later tomorrow afternoon and Facebook.

Due to the Bad weather and extended travel times the Pre-Raw and Raw sessions are cancelled.
Bad weather will affect the travelling times of the journeys to and from the University of Birmingham. therefore the sessions are cancelled for Saturday 19 January.
West Midlands Performance Centre aplogise for any inconvenience but feel in the interest of safety for all concerned felt it best that all the sessions are cancelled this Saturday.

The Under 15 Bronze Tournament details have been updated to contain the Acceptance Lists for both the BOYS and the GIRLS. The Under 15 Bronze Tournament is this Saturday 12 January and is hosted by the West Midlands Performance Centre. Held at the Doug Ellis Sports Centre, Birmingham City University, B42 2SY.
