Sports: Badminton

Birthplace: Selangor, Malaysia

University: Graduated in BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Sports played: Badminton and I do enjoy a bit of squash as well.

Sporting achievement: Singles player. Won the nationals in Malaysia 2004. Represented Malaysian in various international tournaments such as The Uber Cup, The Sudirman Cup, the South East Asian Games (SEA), the All England, German Open, Korea Open and also achieved some of the following results:

Runner Up: Vietnam Open, Sri Lanka International, Malaysian International, Swedish International.
Champion: Croatian International, Welsh International, and won the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) for 4 consecutive times, in the singles event.

Coaching experience: Level 1 Coaching Qualifications. Before coming to the UK, I was coaching at Pro-One badminton academy which is part of the development programme from the New Vision Badminton Academy. We train players from all ages and levels.

Hobbies: Reading, watching movies and travelling

Favourite Film: Mission Impossible

Influential Characters: My dad introduced me to badminton and since then I have not looked back. My dad coached me and I did very well in my junior years. Looking at my results I was then invited to join the National team after completing my GCSE’s. Even then my dad has always been there advising me and guiding me throughout my badminton career and also advising me to sit for my A Levels as an independent student (studying on my own) whilst playing badminton full time.
