The West Midlands Performance Centre is where several group of young talented players are coached and undergo training to enhance their individual performance to compete at the highest levels of the sport in England. Performance Centres play a pivotal role in achieving goals in the Badminton England program. The West Midlands Performance Centre is based at thUniversity of Birmingham in the NEW sports and fitness centre.
West Midlands Performance Centre is open to ALL junior badminton players from 6 to 19 years old. The Performance Centre provides a ‘performance pathway’ through quality coaching and training on a regular basis. Coaches and players carry out regular assessments, on the players fitness and skill levels along with their mental attitude and awareness. Performance Centre coaches help the players with forward planning for not only areas of coaching and training programs, but develops a personal fitness program along with a schedule for competing in relevant future tournaments.
