NEW Sports Hall

New sports hall badminton facilities at University of Birmingham.

New Sports HallWest Midlands Performance Centre have held Raw and Pre-Raw sessions in the Sports Hall at the Munrow Centre, Uni of Birmingham for years. The UoB are in the process of having a new Sports Hall built and the PC will be in there the start of the new academic term in September.

In the meantime, some of you are aware that the PC runs a Summer Camp during August. This year will be a little different as it will be hosted in the new Sports Hall on the corner of Edgbaston Park Road and the Bristol Road, Edgbaston.

During the Summer the new PC timetable at the Sports Hall will be published on our website. So keep checking the Calendar for session details.

Interested in Easter Badminton Camps for your Children?

Do you want your children to get plenty of exercise of Easter before and after they eat all those Easter Eggs?……………..and of course it is another way of improving their badminton skills.

West Midlands Performance Centre are running badminton holiday camps over Easter. There are 2 x two day sessions. You can book as much badminton as your child can play. Spaces are limited so a BOOKING FORM need to be completed ASAP and returned to Stephanie (Camp Coach).

BRONZE Under 17 – Urgent Update – Re Sun 4 March

COMPETITORS Please NOTE:

The Sports Cafe WILL NOT BE OPEN.
However, there is a Spar store on campus.  (R23 in red on the campus map, less than 5 minutes walk from sports hall) and is open between 08.00-21.00 every day, also coffee, hot chocolate, cold drinks &SNACK MACHINES  are available within Munrow Sports Centre.

It has been a rush creating the new website. The information for the BRONZE Acceptance List needed to be published quickly. So apologies for any inconvenience, especially Vicky Bowater (who has handled all the applications for the tournament and has been inundated with calls regarding the event).  A BIG thank you to Alan Spink of Action Photography who has very kindly supplied the images for the site.
